At the Vero Beach Tennis and Fitness Center, Blu Baker achieved a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Jack Kennedy to advance to the semifinals of the Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation Tennis Championships, a tournament supporting local charities. Baker, a 23-year-old from Boca Raton, attributed his comeback skills to his success in the Battle of Boca tournament, where he has a record 13 wins. He will face Tomas Luis in the semifinals, while Kennedy and his fellow teen Keaton Hance remain in the doubles competition despite their singles losses.
