The University of Oregon is suing former running backs coach Carlos Locklyn for breach of contract, claiming he owes a $400,000 buyout after leaving for Ohio State, of which he only paid $200,000. Locklyn’s attorney asserts that he fulfilled his obligations and that Oregon declined the check, leading to a legal dispute over the interpretation of the contract. Despite the lawsuit, Locklyn enjoyed a successful first year with the Buckeyes, contributing to their national championship run, and the case may still settle outside of court.
