In the Ontario Hockey League quarterfinal opener, the London Knights defeated the Erie Otters 6-3, with Denver Barkey scoring a hat trick to lead the Knights to victory. Despite Erie’s offensive bursts, including two goals in 34 seconds and three goals in 29 seconds, they couldn’t overcome London’s four-goal run. The Knights, the reigning Robertson Cup champions, took a 1-0 series lead over the Otters, who were missing key players due to injury, and will face off again in game two on Saturday.
