At least 80 people killed in northeast Colombia as peace talks fail, official says

Violence in Colombia’s Catatumbo region, where clashes between rebels of the National Liberation Army and former members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia have displaced people. More than 80 people were killed over the weekend, prompting government evacuations and humanitarian aid efforts. Peace talks have been suspended, and the government is demanding a ceasefire to provide assistance to affected communities.
