Legendary New Zealand film and television producer John Barnett has passed away, as confirmed by the Screen Production and Development Association. A prominent figure in the industry since 1973, he led South Pacific Pictures from 1992 to 2015 and produced major films like Footrot Flats, Whale Rider, and Sione’s Wedding.
