Teen dies after dog attack while biking in Nova Scotia

A 13-year-old boy from Shelburne County died after being attacked by three dogs while cycling on Jan. 3, 2026. The Municipality of Shelburne and the school community expressed deep sorrow, extending condolences to his family and friends. Support services including psychologists and counsellors are being provided at the school. The dogs involved were euthanized, and an RCMP investigation is ongoing.
