Manchester City have spent over £125million in the January transfer window due to injuries and poor form, bringing in Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Reis but lacking depth in defensive midfield and right back. Interest in Andrea Cambiaso and Ederson may not result in deals, while a move for Douglas Luiz or Nico Gonzalez is complicated by high release clauses. There is potential for midfielder James McAtee to leave on loan, with Jacob Wright likely to join Swansea City on a loan-to-permanent deal for around £4million. Other academy exits are unlikely at this time.
