5 bison dead after 2 vehicles hit them in Elk Island National Park: Parks Canada

Five bison were killed in a collision with two vehicles in Elk Island National Park east of Edmonton. RCMP are investigating the incident, which resulted in the euthanization of two other severely injured bison. This is the most tragic collision the park has ever experienced, according to superintendent Dale Kirkland.
