4 Russian military aircraft detected in Alaska defense zone, NORAD says

Four Russian military aircraft flew through the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone on Monday, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command. The aircraft remained in international airspace and did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace, with no intercept occurring. NORAD stated that this Russian activity in the Alaska ADIZ is a regular occurrence and is not considered a threat, marking the fifth such incident in September.
