Incident Overview
On Saturday morning in Carbondale, Kansas, four law enforcement officers were shot while responding to a domestic violence call, resulting in the death of a 22-year-old male suspect. The suspect’s 77-year-old grandfather was also injured, but all injured parties are expected to recover. Three Osage County sheriff’s deputies and one Kansas Highway Patrol trooper were involved, with two deputies undergoing surgery. Neighbors expressed shock, noting the suspect was previously seen as a respectful individual.
