A developer has revitalized a stalled South Auckland housing project by investing over $3 million to complete a crucial water supply connection, paving the way for up to 5,000 new homes in Karaka. This initiative allows construction to resume after significant delays since 2019, caused by a consortium of developers who went into liquidation. Many families, like home buyer Jing Zhang, had to abandon their plans due to these setbacks. The Hermitage Group, led by Libo Eros Fu, has resolved the water infrastructure issue, enabling progress.
