Police in Auckland seized 36kg of cocaine valued at approximately $12.6 million, which was hidden in a container alongside legitimate goods shipped from Brazil. The discovery was made by staff while unloading the container. Detective Senior Sergeant Jason Hunt confirmed that the drugs were found in bags on top of the legitimate products. National Organised Crime Group detectives were promptly notified and took possession of the cocaine.
