Eurozone Inflation Decreases to 2.1% in October

Eurozone inflation fell to 2.1% in October, remaining above the European Central Bank’s (ECB) 2% target for the second consecutive month, as per the latest flash estimate which aligns with economists’ forecasts. Core inflation held steady at 2.4%, while services inflation rose to 3.4%, its highest since April. The ECB maintained its benchmark interest rate at 2% after previously cutting rates, and the Euro was stable against the dollar at $1.157. Additionally, the Eurozone’s Q3 economic growth was slightly better than expected at 0.2%.
