Manhunt Underway for Suspect in South Asian Extortion Case

A nationwide search is underway for 24-year-old Jagdeep Singh, who faces multiple charges related to an alleged extortion operation targeting the South Asian community, with victims suffering financial threats in the millions. The Parkland County RCMP’s investigation began in fall 2025 after reports of gunfire linked to extortion threats. Singh is considered dangerous and is also wanted by the Canada Border Services Agency. Two other suspects, Ravinder and Gurpreet Singh, have been arrested in connection with related firearm offenses.
