Archaeologists in Egypt have uncovered a rock-cut chamber in the Asasif Necropolis near Luxor, revealing 22 beautifully painted coffins dating back to the Third Intermediate Period (circa 1070-664 BC). Many of the coffins are linked to women holding the title ‘Singer of Amun’ and were found alongside rare papyri sealed in ceramic vessels. The well-organized arrangement of the coffins suggests deliberate planning for their storage, and restoration efforts are underway to preserve these significant artifacts.
