US Congressman Sean Casten has introduced the Ceasefire Compliance Act, which aims to prohibit the use of US-origin weapons in Gaza and the West Bank if Israel violates the October 10, 2025 ceasefire, pursues annexation, or fails to curb settler violence against Palestinians. The bill, co-sponsored by multiple representatives, includes provisions for congressional oversight and the establishment of an end-use monitoring group while exempting defensive systems like Iron Dome. Casten emphasized that the legislation does not undermine Israel’s right to self-defense but seeks to align US military assistance with American values and interests.
