Belgium Workers Protest Israeli Officer Visit

Workers at FN Herstal, Belgium’s major weapons manufacturer, staged a spontaneous strike in response to the presence of an Israeli army officer during a delegation visit. The protest, led by the socialist trade union FGTB, was described by Hind Rajab Foundation’s Dyab Abou Jahjah as a statement against the arms industry’s role in the Gaza conflict. He identified the officer, potentially Moshe Tetro, as involved in actions against Gaza and called for his expulsion. The foundation also filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court regarding Tetro’s alleged involvement.
