400 Palestinians Cross Rafah Border in One Week

Local authorities in Gaza reported that only 397 travelers crossed the Rafah border into Egypt from February 2 to 9, despite an expected 1,600, indicating only 25% compliance from Israel after reopening the crossing. Of those, 225 left Gaza while 172 entered, with 26 turned back. Approximately 22,000 people in Gaza require medical evacuation due to a collapsing health system amid the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in over 72,000 Palestinian deaths since October 2023. Prior to the war, hundreds crossed daily without Israeli involvement.
