Hamas reports detention of 10 Palestinian MPs by Israel

Hamas has reported that Israeli authorities are detaining 10 members of the Palestinian Legislative Council under severe conditions, with some imprisoned for decades. Among those detained are notable political figures Ahmad Sa’adat and Marwan Barghouti. The most aged detainee is 75-year-old Muhammad Abu Tir, who has spent over 36 years in prison, while 73-year-old Hassan Yousef has been under administrative detention since October 2023. Other detained MPs include Khaled Suleiman Abu Hassan, Hosni al-Bourini, and Nasser Abdel-Jawad, among others.
