The Israeli authorities have cut off electricity to the Kalandia Vocational Training Centre, run by UNRWA, near Kalandia refugee camp, reportedly to facilitate its seizure.
The 302 Commission for the Defence of Refugee Rights noted that this action follows a pattern of targeting UNRWA facilities, undermining its role in East Jerusalem.
Established in 1953, the centre has educated over 20,000 Palestinian refugees and is set to host 325 students in the upcoming academic year.
The commission urges the international community to act against Israel’s measures, which contradict international law regarding UNRWA’s operations.
