Indonesia is being urged to participate in the proposed International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, framed as a humanitarian mission but seen as a means to legitimize Israel’s occupation. The ISF’s true mandate, however, is to disarm Palestinians while leaving Israel unaccountable for its actions. Critics argue that this would make Indonesia complicit in colonialism, undermining its historical stance against domination. Instead, Indonesia is encouraged to advocate for a cease-fire and Palestinian consent before engaging in any international presence.
