UAE’s Role in Somali Separatism

As Somalia inaugurates its first administration of the North-Eastern State, this historic moment symbolizes a rejection of violence and foreign imposition following the devastating Las’Anod attack in 2023. The presence of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Sudan underscores support for Somalia’s sovereignty and unity against external separatist agendas, particularly from the UAE’s influence in Somaliland. This new administration reflects the people’s will, advocating for inclusive governance free from foreign manipulation. The event marks a pivotal shift towards national reconciliation and a firm stand against divide-and-rule politics.
