Yemenia Airways Restarts Flights from Aden Airport

Yemenia Airways resumed flights from Aden International Airport on Sunday after a three-day suspension, following directives from Transport Minister Abdul Salam Saleh Humaid. Initially, flights will serve four destinations: Riyadh, Amman, Cairo, and Jeddah. The service restoration followed negotiations with Saudi Arabia amid tensions involving the Southern Transitional Council (STC), which recently announced a suspension of operations, claiming Saudi Arabia halted flights—a claim the Yemeni government denied. The STC seeks greater autonomy, citing political and economic marginalization of southern regions, while Yemeni authorities reaffirm unity.
