Severe Weather Impacts Gaza
Since early December, at least 25 Palestinians, including six children, have died in the Gaza Strip due to severe weather, characterized by heavy rainfall, strong winds, and extreme cold. Rescue teams reported that 18 damaged buildings collapsed, with 110 suffering partial collapses, endangering thousands. Around 90% of tents for displaced families were destroyed, worsening the humanitarian crisis. Local officials warn that the combination of adverse weather and ongoing destruction puts vulnerable civilians at significant risk.
