Houthi leader targets Israeli presence in Somaliland

Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi declared that any Israeli presence in Somaliland would be treated as a “military target,” in response to Israel’s recent recognition of the breakaway region. He described this recognition as an act of aggression against Somalia and Yemen, posing a threat to regional security. Al-Houthi warned that Israel aims to use Somaliland as a base for hostile actions against Somalia and Arab countries, jeopardizing the security of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Somaliland, which seeks international recognition, is strategically located on the Gulf of Aden.
