UN Official: One Million Refugees May Return to Syria by 2026

The UNHCR anticipates that around one million Syrian refugees will return to Syria by 2026, following a gradual recovery post-Assad regime. Since December 2024, approximately 1.3 million refugees and two million internally displaced people have returned, totaling over three million.
