UN Chief: 1.6M in Gaza Face Severe Food Insecurity

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reported that while famine in Gaza has been averted, over 75% of its population continues to face acute food insecurity and malnutrition risks. He emphasized the need for a durable ceasefire, increased humanitarian access, and highlighted the deteriorating situation in the West Bank due to Israeli actions. Guterres called for the implementation of International Court of Justice measures and support for UNRWA, urging an end to the ongoing cycle of violence and suffering.
