UN Reports RSF Killed Over 1,000 Civilians in Zamzam Camp

More than 1,000 civilians were killed during a three-day attack by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Zamzam camp, the largest displacement camp in western Sudan, according to a UN report. The RSF launched the assault in April as part of a siege on El Fasher, with reports of summary executions and sexual violence, including rape and slavery. These actions are deemed serious violations of international humanitarian law. The camp housed over 500,000 people before the attacks.
