UN reports 55,000 families affected by Gaza rains

The United Nations reported that approximately 55,000 Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip have been impacted by recent storms and heavy rainfall, which have damaged their properties and shelters. Farhan Haq, the UN Secretary-General’s Deputy Spokesperson, indicated that these conditions have also led to the suspension of child protection activities, affecting about 30,000 children. Additionally, he highlighted that ongoing Israeli restrictions hinder humanitarian organizations’ response efforts.
