Muslim group requests Florida governor’s communications with Israeli officials

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has filed an open records request in Florida, seeking communications between Governor Ron DeSantis’ office, Israeli officials, and anti-Muslim hate groups. CAIR accused DeSantis of collaborating with these entities to undermine civil rights advocacy and labeled his designation of CAIR as a foreign terror organization as unlawful. CAIR-Florida plans to challenge this designation, while DeSantis defended his actions. CAIR is the largest Muslim civil rights organization in the U.S., founded in 1994.
