A Palestinian man, Bahaa Abdel Rahman Rashid, 38, was killed by Israeli army fire during clashes in the village of Odala near Nablus after Friday prayers, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that he sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head and CPR was performed at the scene before his death was confirmed. Recent military operations in the northern West Bank have resulted in over 1,088 Palestinian deaths and 10,700 injuries since October 2023. The International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal in a landmark opinion last year.
