Spain Calls for Two-State Solution for Middle East Peace

Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares reaffirmed the country’s commitment to a two-state solution as the only viable path to lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians during the 10th Union for the Mediterranean Regional Forum in Barcelona. He emphasized the need to end suffering and implement frameworks like the US Gaza ceasefire plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi criticized Israel’s disregard for international law and called for its withdrawal from Lebanese territory. The forum gathered representatives from 43 countries, including EU and Mediterranean nations.
