Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian officials occurred in Abu Dhabi last week, initiated by Kyiv and attended by a US representative. He noted that the US plans to send a delegation soon, and while Moscow sees some Russian positions reflected in the peace proposal, further discussions are needed. Putin reiterated Russia’s readiness for a peace agreement, questioning the legitimacy of Ukrainian authorities and asserting military action if Ukrainian troops do not withdraw. He also dismissed concerns about European security, stating that Russia does not intend to attack Europe.
