Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam warned of a “war of attribution” following escalating Israeli airstrikes, including a recent attack that killed five and injured 28 in southern Beirut. He emphasized the need for Arab and international support to halt Israeli actions and demand a withdrawal. Salam also highlighted efforts to modernize Beirut Port as vital for Lebanon’s economic recovery, in collaboration with the World Bank for regional transportation links. Despite the ongoing recovery, large sections of the port remain in ruins after the 2020 explosion that resulted in over 220 deaths.
