Israel returns remains of 15 Gazans under ceasefire agreement

Gaza’s Health Ministry announced the return of 15 Palestinian remains from Israel via the ICRC, increasing the total to 330 since the ceasefire began on October 10. Forensic teams have identified 97 bodies, many of which display signs of abuse and were returned without identification. Families are struggling to identify the remains due to damaged forensic facilities from the Israeli blockade. Prior to the ceasefire, Israel reportedly held 735 Palestinian bodies in “cemeteries of numbers.”
