While Syria claims Israel is violating its territory, they seek a diplomatic approach. Netanyahu emphasized that cooperation on this zone is vital for improving relations and protecting the Druze community. Al-Sharaa, however, expressed concerns about the challenges of demilitarization and the responsibility for security in the region.
