UN Reports Highest Monthly Israeli Settler Attacks in 20 Years

The UN reported a significant increase in illegal Israeli settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, with October 2023 marking the highest monthly toll in nearly two decades, recording 264 attacks. This violence has displaced over 3,200 Palestinians, led to numerous casualties, and severely impacted livelihoods. In 2025, 42 Palestinian children have been killed, constituting one-fifth of all fatalities from Israeli forces. The International Court of Justice previously deemed Israel’s occupation illegal, calling for the evacuation of settlements.
