The olive harvest season in the occupied West Bank has seen a surge in illegal settler attacks, with 126 incidents reported across 70 Palestinian communities, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Over 4,000 olive trees and saplings were vandalized, and 60 attacks involved direct assaults on civilians, resulting in injuries and vehicle vandalism. The violence has escalated significantly since October 2023, coinciding with the annual harvest period. In July, the International Court of Justice deemed Israel’s occupation illegal, calling for the evacuation of settlements.
