Comoros has joined South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), as announced on Friday. The declaration was filed on October 29, 2025, invoking Article 63 of the Court’s Statute. South Africa’s case, initiated in December 2023, accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, where over 68,000 people have reportedly died due to ongoing attacks. The ICJ has previously ordered Israel to prevent genocidal acts and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
