79,000 Israelis Emigrated in 2024, Exceeding New Arrivals

Around 79,000 Israelis emigrated in the past year, a significant increase from the previous year, amid escalating regional tensions due to Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza. The Central Bureau of Statistics reports a population of approximately 10.148 million, with 7.758 million being Jews and 2.13 million Arabs, while more than 65,000 people have died in Gaza since October 2023.
