A Palestinian advocacy group has condemned Israel for introducing new weapons, including stun guns and rubber bullets, in its prisons, labeling them as “torture grounds” and warning of escalating repression against detainees. With over 19,000 Palestinians arrested since the start of Israel’s military actions in Gaza on October 7, 2023, including 585 women and 1,550 children, both the Palestinian Prisoner Society and Hamas have called for urgent international intervention to address alleged human rights violations.
