UN agencies call for immediate humanitarian access to famine-declared Gaza – Middle East Monitor

UN agencies warned of a famine in Gaza, already claiming lives and putting children at acute risk, following the declaration of famine in the Gaza Governorate amidst ongoing violence that has resulted in nearly 62,200 Palestinian deaths since October 2023. The FAO, WFP, UNICEF, and WHO stressed the urgent need for humanitarian access and a ceasefire to prevent further loss of life and address widespread malnutrition.
