Gaza sees highest monthly number of acute malnutrition cases, says WHO
In July, Gaza recorded its highest monthly figure of acute malnutrition in children, with nearly 12,000 cases and rising hunger-related deaths, according to WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. At least 99 deaths, including 35 children, have occurred this year, while the WHO warns that current nutrition supplies are insufficient to prevent further deterioration in the region.
