Moroccan king pardons over 1,500 convicts on Eid al-Adha – Middle East Monitor

Moroccan King Mohammed VI granted a royal pardon to 1,526 individuals in celebration of Eid al-Adha, as reported by Anadolu. The Justice Ministry stated that the clemency, issued on the eve of the festival, includes 1,305 prisoners, 206 individuals who were sentenced but not in custody, and 15 convicted for terrorism and extremism-related cases. This gesture reflects the king’s commitment to mercy during significant religious occasions in the North African nation.
