Swiss authorities are considering a legal investigation into the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a US-backed entity planning aid distribution in Gaza, following a formal request from a Swiss NGO. The United Nations has criticized the initiative for lacking impartiality and neutrality, potentially risking lives and causing further displacement. TRIAL International, a Swiss NGO, has submitted legal briefs to examine GHF’s compliance with Swiss and international humanitarian law, questioning the use of private security for aid delivery and the necessary approvals from Swiss authorities.
