Foreign Ministry spokesman Christian Wagner emphasized that while Israel has the right to self-defense, a permanent occupation is rejected, aligning with the G-7’s stance. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced plans for a complete takeover of Gaza, citing external pressure as a reason for resuming humanitarian aid after nearly 80 days of a blockade that has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, resulting in over 53,300 Palestinian deaths since October 2023.
