The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
called for a renewed ceasefire in Gaza following the release of Israeli-American hostage Edan Alexander by Hamas. ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric emphasized the urgent need for political will to protect civilians and facilitate humanitarian aid, while highlighting the ongoing plight of remaining hostages and the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
