The US State Department has approved a potential $3.5 billion sale of AIM-120C-8 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles and support to Saudi Arabia, as announced by the Pentagon. This sale aims to enhance the security of a strategic partner and promote stability and economic progress in the Gulf Region, aligning with US foreign policy and national security objectives. The principal contractor for this deal will be RTX Corporation based in Arizona, with the Defence Security Cooperation Agency notifying Congress of the proposed sale.
