UAE has ‘thwarted illegal attempt’ to transfer ammunition to Sudan’s army – Middle East Monitor

UAE state media reported that security services intercepted an attempt by Sudanese military leaders, including former intelligence chief Salah Gosh, to illegally transfer approximately five million rounds of ammunition to Sudan’s army via a private plane at an unspecified airport, resulting in several arrests. Sudan’s armed forces have accused the UAE of supporting the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) amid an ongoing civil war, claims that the UAE denies. Additionally, Sudan has submitted a genocide case to the International Court of Justice, alleging the UAE’s involvement in arming the RSF.
