Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the deployment of emergency specialists to Iran to help manage a fire at Shahid Rajaee Port, following a request from Tehran, as announced by the Russian Embassy. The explosion at the port, a vital component of Iran’s maritime trade located in Hormozgan province, has resulted in at least 25 fatalities and 1,139 injuries, with the incident initially triggered by a fire in the container dock area that intensified due to high temperatures and flammable materials. The embassy expressed support for the collaboration between Russian and Iranian rescuers in addressing the crisis.
